Modern game design has created a surplus of products that all have similar fundamental design philosophies, so to stand out from the crowd, a new philosophy is required. Every game has an underlying experience it’s trying to sell, and assuming that the most common design philosophy is the best weakens many products. I seek then to analyze what the game is and make a design that elevates all aspects of it, enhancing it past the sum of its parts.
